The singer has revealed she had been yearning for something. But despite all her money, Adele says it is being a mother that has had the most impact on her life.
The singer has revealed she had been “yearning for something”. And when Angelo – her son with partner Simon Konecki – arrived she realised what it was. She said her child, now three, had changed her “completely in every single way possible”.
“Suddenly something new, much bigger than myself happened,” she said.
“There’s a lyric in one of my songs which is about becoming a mom, which was ‘I find it funny that you’re the only one I never looked for’ because I was always yearning for something and I never knew what it was and then I got pregnant and he makes me realise everything about myself, that I like and don’t like.”
She made the comments to Graham Norton for the programme Adele at the BBC, which is being broadcast on BBC One to coincide with the release of her third album 25.
Although famous for pouring emotion into her songs, Adele, 27, warned fans she will be more “guarded” about how much she gives away after albums 19 and 21 left those mentioned feeling betrayed.
Since hitting the publicity trail for 25, Adele has been showing off a far slimmer figure.
Speaking to internet radio show The Spectrum, she revealed she still has issues with her body but she does not let them prey on her mind. She said: “There’s bigger issues going on in the world than how I might feel about myself and stuff like that.”
