American teen who survived Boston bombing and Paris attack, now injured in Brussels

The 19-year-old American teen Mason Wells has become the talk of social media after news that he not only survived the bomb blasts in Brussels but also was in Paris and Boston when attacks rocked Paris and Boston.

19-year-old American teen Mason Wells has become the talk of social media after news that he not only survived the bomb blasts in Brussels but also was in Paris and Boston when ttacks rocked the cities in the previous years.

A Mormon missionary from the United States of America, Wells who is just 19 was wounded in the bomb blasts at the Zaventem Airport Belgium. He is reported to have suffered second degree facial burns, ruptured calcaneal tendon, and body injuries caused by the impact of the blast.

Zaventem Airport & one metro station bombed

At least 34 people were killed and several others badly injured by the attacks that shook Brussels on Tuesday.

Two explosions targeted the main hall of Zaventem Airport at around 8:00 am (1330 IST), with a third hitting the Maalbeek metro station, near the European Union's main buildings, just as commuters were making their way to work in rush hour.

​Well's family, in an interview to ABC News,said that this was Well's third brush with terrorist attacks.

His father said that Well's had also survived the bomb attack on 117th Boston Marathon that took place on Patriots' Day, 15 April, 2013. They were just a block away from the site of the explosion.

Well's was also in Paris on the evening of 13 November 2015 when a chain of attacks occurred in Paris and its northern suburb, Saint-Denis.

Well's is being treated in Belgium and is expected to recover completely. He intends to join the U.S. Naval services in the future to serve his country.

Belgian state broadcaster RTBK has named the two suspects of the bombings as Khalid and Brahim El-Bakraoui. The Belgian ploice has circulated an image of the third suspect as the manhunt across Europe continues.
