Texas man who won free Whataburgers for 10 years donates some of winnings from Snapchat contest to shelter

What a show of generosity by this Whataburger fan.

A Texas man who won free burgers for a decade recently delivered 30 of them to a shelter.

Blake Miller, 22, had entered a Whataburger contest on Snapchat that required sending a photo or video "showing how much they love Whataburger."

"I've eaten them my whole life," he told the Daily News on Wednesday. "I've never tasted a better burger. A lot of memories at Whataburger too."

Miller, who freguents the eatery's Corpus Christi location, entered the contest with a picture featuring his Whataburger arm tattoo and a tray of the chain's food. His tattoo includes the number 361, which so happens to be the area code for his hometown.

After winning the contest, he decided to donate much of his winnings after seeing two hungry homeless people in a Whataburger.

"They were cutting a burger in half to share with each other," Miller told The News. "I went up to them and said they could get anything they want on the menu. When they said it was their first meal of the day and it was 10 p.m., I decided I needed to share."

As the winner of the contest, he earned one free Whataburger every week for 10 years. He delivered some of his winnings to the Good Samaritan Shelter Rescue Mission and to others in need. He said he has donated an estimated $1,000 of his winnings.

He happened to get the tattoo in San Antonio the day before the contest was announced in March.
