Port Elizabeth – The Democratic Alliance will file an urgent interdict in the Eastern Cape High Court against Port Elizabeth mayor Danny Jordaan over the DA billboard issue, the party said on Saturday.

The DA’s demand was lawful and practicable, and Jordaan’s failure to comply showed that acting within the law was not something Jordaan could be trusted to do.
All in the name of protecting President Jacob Zuma, this week Jordaan had committed a litany of unreasonable acts, including banning and removing the DA billboard, questionably denying permission for a lawful and peaceful DA protest, and now not complying with the letter of demand.
“The DA has no choice but to file an urgent interdict in the Eastern Cape High Court against Danny Jordaan. We will begin preparations to do so immediately.
“Just like Jacob Zuma, getting Jordaan to do what is right and what is legal will now require court action against him,” Trollip said.
