1. Pathankot attack: Pakistan reaches out to India, detains several Jaish-e-Mohammad militants:

Pakistan on Wednesday detained "several individuals" belonging to JeM, which is suspected to have engineered the Pathankot terror attack, and sealed its offices after India linked Islamabad's "prompt and decisive" action to the fate of Foreign Secretary-level talks scheduled on Friday. 2. Jallikattu: Supreme Court refuses to vacate stay:

The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to vacate its order staying the Centre's notification lifting ban on the controversial bull-taming sport Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu. A bench comprising Justices Dipak Misra and N V Ramana said that Tuesday's order by which the Centre's notification was stayed doesn't warrant any alteration. Read more here.

Well known actor and comedian Kiku Sharda from 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' has gotten into serious trouble. Sharda who plays Palak in 'Comedy Nights with Kapil', has been arrested for mimicking Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. He has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody. Read more here.

4. Seven dead in four-hour siege near Pakistan's consulate in Jalalabad:

Seven Afghan forces were killed on Wednesday when militants launched an hours-long gun and bomb siege near Pakistan's consulate in Jalalabad city, just days after four-country talks in Islamabad aimed at reviving Taliban peace negotiations. Read more here.

5. WHO to declare Ebola outbreak over with Liberia in the clear:

The two-year Ebola epidemic which laid waste to communities across west Africa and killed more than 11,000 people is due to be declared over tomorrow with Liberia expecting the all-clear. The worst outbreak of the tropical pathogen in history has devastated health services and wrecked the economies of the hardest hit nations since it emerged in southern Guinea in December 2013.
