The court has removed prohibition on his movement and now Vanzara can go anywhere in the country.
A Special CBI Court on Saturday relaxed bail conditions for retired Gujarat IPS officer DG Vanzara, a key accused in the Ishrat Jahan and Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter, thereby allowing him to return to Gujarat.
Modifying the bail conditions, the court removed prohibition on his movement and now Vanjara can move anywhere in the country. Few days back in Soharabuddin encounter case, the Bombay High Court had allowed him to travel outside Mumbai.
The court, however, rejected Vanzara's application to make two more people, who are witnesses in the case, as accused. The Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case is an ongoing criminal case in Gujarat, after Sohrabuddin Anwarhussain Sheikh was killed on November 26, 2005, while he was in police custody.
Shah was discharged from the case by the Mumbai Sessions Court in December 2014.
