We love having Mary Higgins Clark on our show.

Mary Higgins Clark should consider adding Kathie Lee and Hoda in her next mystery.
on our show. She’s the best! And she works harder than anyone else we know. This week the 88-year-old author published her latest mystery, “As Time Goes By,” about a news reporter seeking her birth mother while covering the trial of a woman accused of murder. But what really freaked us out is when we asked her about setting one of her best-sellers on our show. She called it “Come to the Table,” and it involved some funky Gifft wine and Hoda looking for doughnuts at the catering table but stepping on our dead producer’s squishy hand instead. Creepy.
KLG : She is one of our favorite ladies. And she’s so incredibly productive!
HK : How about how she thought of “Come to the Table” so quickly? We just asked and she’s already got the plotlines — a producer is getting stabbed under the table and I step on her squishy hand. Kath, do you think she’ll do a book about us? Oh my God.
KLG : Hoda wants to be in a book now. No! She has better things to write about.
HK : You know who she always mentions in her books? My friend Jimmy Neary! She always sets something at Neary’s restaurant on E. 57th St., which is Hoda and my favorite place to get lamb chops.
KLG : I’ve already been killed, by the way. Regis killed me on that show “Diagnosis Murder” in 1998. So it’s time for me to kill Hoda.

The Internet went bonkers when Justin Bieber revealed his new hairstyle.
HK : Kath would definitely be the killer.
KLG : Or we can both kill Regis!
HK : But how would it happen is the question.
KLG : Poisoned wine, of course.
HK : Mary (Higgins Clark) suggested that one glass of wine would be blood, another poison.
KLG : I have a feeling she’s done some kinky things in her life. People don’t just come up with stuff like that out of nowhere!
