Hundreds of striking Verizon employees marched Thursday across the Brooklyn Bridge on day two of their walkout against the communications giant.

“CWA on strike against Verizon Wireless Corporate Greed,” read one of the more popular signs among the Brooklyn Bridge marchers.
The marchers, carrying signs or wearing placards, trekked across the landmark span on a sunny afternoon to demonstrate outside the Democratic presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
Both candidates joined Verizon picket lines in New York to show support Wednesday for the 39,000 workers striking in nine East Coast states and Washington, D.C.

Passing drivers honked their car horns in support of the strikers, who met up with Brooklyn colleagues for the march on the borough’s waterfront.
